Onyx on Sycamore is probably the best homestay accommodation near Cape Town International Airport, and centrally located between Bellville and Stellenbosch. It is 32 km from Cape Town City Centre and offers the best value for money in the City of Cape Town. Guests use a separate entrance and are accommodated in the bedrooms all connected to one fully-equipped kitchen and lounge. The homestay can accommodate eight (8) guests maximum, six (6) in the main guest house with three rooms and a shared kitchen and lounge, and the other two (2) in the separate entrance queen room. All the rooms have completely en-suite private bathrooms. Guests have the option to book just a room or the entire place as a self-catering unit, based on preferences and depending on whether they are a couple or a family.
Tea and coffee are available free of charge. Guests, however, have the option to order in or make their own meals (self-catering) in the fully-equipped kitchen. The idea is for the guests to always feel at home and eat what they would normally eat, or would love to eat, at mealtimes.

Deluxe King Room
Deluxe King Room
This air-conditioned king size or twin room with a work station and its spacious bathroom with a double basin, toilet, spa tub and shower is the most loved and most popular among guests at the establishment. The bed can come either as a king size bed or as 2 single beds, depending on your preferences. With a TV in the room, guests have access to OpenView and Netflix for in-suite entertainment and WiFi is free. The fully-equipped adjoining kitchen and lounge are shared with the other guests. Here guests can make their own meals if not eating out.
Standard Double Room

This air-conditioned room is fitted with a double bed and other basics and can sleep up to two people. It has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and basin. With a TV in the room, guests have access to OpenView and Netflix for in-suite entertainment and free WiFi. The adjoining fully-equipped open plan kitchen and lounge are shared with other guests. Here guests can make their own meals if they do not want to order in or eat out.

This air-conditioned room is ideally suited for one person travelling light, although it can sleep up to a maximum of 2 people. It is the smallest of the four rooms on the property. It is fitted with an extra-long double bed and, like all our rooms, has an en-suite private bathroom with a double shower over bath, toilet and basin. With a TV in the room, guests have access to OpenView and Netflix for in-suite entertainment and free WiFi. The adjoining fully-equipped open-plan kitchen and lounge are shared with other guests. Here, guests can make their own meals.
Separate Entrance Queen Room
Separate Entrance Queen Room
This air-conditioned room is fitted with a queen size bed and can sleep up to two people. It has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and basin. With a TV in the room, guests have access to DSTV Easy View and Netflix for in-suite entertainment and free WiFi. The room also has a minibar fridge, microwave, electric jug and cutlery for two. This will enable guests to store their food and easily warm it when needed. The room does not have access to the shared kitchen and lounge and is, therefore, not ideal for long stays.
